From Bacolod you can take a ferry ride to Iloilo ( pron; ilo-ilo). Get up the back deck with the wind in your hair and get a free facial skin toning. Our guide in Iloilo can show you around but he’d be amiss if he didn’t take you to the famous Boracay beach just north west of the city. It is a longish bus ride but busses are an entertainment in themselves.
There are two main beaches in Boracay and both of them are world famous. White Beach on the west is considered the better but both are superb. With seven thousand islands making up the Philippines it is not short of beaches but a lot of them are privately owned and in the hands of resorts.
There is no specific Gay place in Boracay but the open, friendly, very relaxed nature of semi-clad conversations with willing to chat strangers makes it so easy. You may want to stay a few nights here. If so, let your guide know well beforehand as hotel rooms are booked out on occasions.
